Meet our founder
Scott Margolis founded Gore Creek Holdings with a singular mission: to preserve the legacies of family- and founder-owned businesses and develop long-term strategies to maximize the growth potential of the future. Prior to founding Gore Creek Holdings, Scott led value creation at Tilia Holdings, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on the food supply chain. In his role at Tilia, Scott worked closely with portfolio company management teams to execute on specific value creation initiatives, many of which fell into three categories: i) Organizational Development, ii) Operational Improvement, and iii) M&A integration. Prior to joining Tilia, Scott led strategy and M&A for ProPharma Group, a Private Equity-backed Pharmaceutical Services business with operations across North America, Europe, and APAC. Before taking on operational responsibilities, Scott was an investor at Linden Capital Partners and Baird Capital Partners focusing on investment opportunities in founder- and family-owned companies in the healthcare and business services industries. It was working with these founders that gave Scott the excitement and desire to become an operator and hands-on partner to business owners.
Scott is a proud husband and father of two boys (Finn – 2 and Merritt – 6 months). He and his wife, Laura, are avid skiers and love to spend time in the mountains. As supporters of the community, Scott and Laura are founding members of Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Innovators Program and Scott serves on the Board of Directors of The Rick Herrema Foundation, a military non-profit serving active-duty service members stationed at Ft. Bragg.
